Additional Course Info

COMPLETING THE COURSES – HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Some students take 1 year (maximum time allowed); others take 2 or 3 days. These courses can be completed quickly. You simply study the subject matter; then fill in the correct bubbles on the answer sheets.

Mail the completed answer sheets to your credentialed instructor in the envelopes we provide. Passing grade is 70% on each course. Course materials are complete. No outside references needed. (Note that we intend to offer these courses also via the internet during the year 2012.)

YOUR CERTIFICATE.

Your official certificate is mailed to you (or faxed if you so request) when you complete all of your coursework. However, you may receive a certificate for whatever part/s of the course work you have completed at any time upon request — such as, for example, if you don’t need all the hours you have enrolled in to renew your license. You may complete the remaining hours soon after the end of your renewal period and receive continuing education credit in your next renewal period — provided everything is completed within one year of the original enrollment.

REFUNDS AND ENROLLMENT TRANSFERS.

There are no refunds. But, for a $25 transfer fee, you may transfer your enrollment to another individual if none of the lessons in that part of the course are used. The enrollment date remains the same as for the original student, and the course must be completed within the 1-year time limit.

INSUFFICIENT FUNDS, STOP PAYMENT CHECKS, AND GOVERNING LAW.

Our apologies for having to mention it ….but under Section 8620 of the Structural Pest Control Act, the present and future license of a person writing an invalid check could be affected, upon complaint to the Board. Enrollment in these courses constitutes a contract which shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of California. The parties specifically agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of San Mateo County.
